Virgilia took aim with her spear once more, but a goat interrupted her: "Virgilia is a delusion invented by the Kumasawa," they said. "Therefore, any magical effect created by her is utterly fictional."

As Virgilia flickered between her own form and that of Kumasawa, the goat lined up a finishing blow... only for it to bounce off of Ronove and Maria's shields.

"Uu! Virgilia is real! Kumasawa is just what Virgilia is like when there isn't much magic around to sustain her, and I won't let you kill her with your toxin!"

Virgilia's witch form reassert itself, and she readied Gungnir for another throw, while Maria turned to Nanjo.

"Dr. Nanjo, don't worry about your bag; you're still a great healer without it! Let's keep protecting everyone together! Uu!"

I might be missing something, but it's still possible that the culprit shot Isumi through the window of the couple's house while Isumi stood outside, dragged Isumi's corpse in while Rinne was upstairs, and disfigured his head , no?

Rinne is the culprit. She shot Isumi, who was standing outside their house, through the window, reddening the snow around him. She then either hid the body, or the body was hidden by the snowfall.

The accomplice, meanwhile, arrived where Kenny and Nora were. They either poisoned the two directly, or arrived while a delayed trap poisoned them, likely using gas, while they themselves wore both a gas mask and the spirit mask.

Shortly thereafter the accomplice arrived at Rinne's house. She killed them, and dressed them in Isumi's clothes to conceal their identity, lest they be suspected.

The corpse in the Couple's house is still not Isumi. Isumi died outside on the reddened snow, before the victim in the Couple's house. His body was moved afterwards.

The corpse found in the Couple's house is not Isumi. Isumi either lived through the entire story, or was one of the last three killed.

The food was not poisoned, but a drink was: the orange juice. The definition of "food" Shaff is using refers to solid consumables, and not liquids such as orange juice or wine, which would fall under "drinks".

Joshua is either the culprit or an accomplice. Nora was poisoned because she drank the orange juice, and Kenny is either a culprit or accomplice, or was poisoned because he ate the salmon.

The shot within the Couple's house was discharged in the room where the corpse was found. It broke that room's window, having penetrated its target due to the gun's high caliber, letting the blood splatter out into the snow as a result.

Virgilia aimed her spear at the still-floating ship that her first throw of Gungnir had damaged alongside the fallen one. "Thank you, Ronove. Even at this scale, it seems that a spear and a shield make an excellent combination."

"Uu! I haven't heard of anyone using two shields with a spear until now though!" Maria kept her shield up, defending the others from any attacks.

While Maria focused on protecting herself and others with her shield, Virgilia launched Gungnir at a ship. It would take multiple strikes to fully take it down, even with the spear of a god, but a success would be worth it. And ships could not resist the spear by denying its true magical nature.

The group of goats nearest Virgilia fell to the spear she summoned, the spear impaling one and pushing others into the sea of nothingness. The impaled goat, however, somehow freed himself, and, though injured, made to attack Virgilia.

"The... true nature... of Gungnir... is-"

"-a magical spear!" Maria completed, blocking the goat's desperate lunge at Virgilia with her shield.
